    This is a guide into deeper details of advanced attacks, techniques, or other abilities. This guide is only for attacks Tier 2 or greater. As the story progresses, so will this guide.

    Technique Guide Empty Dark Tsunami - Max

    Technique Guide 1st Edition: Dark Tsunami

    Max's weapon seems to be fused with his body. More of it's true form will become apparent as the story progresses.

    During the periods were his power level is above 23.45%, Max can use the attack: Dark Tsunami. Made of a uncountable number of spikes that range in size. This attack is a very dangerous one. While any of the spikes that land in the ground disappear after a short time, the spikes that follow it have a homing like feature. The wave of spikes moves like water and will coat a large area quickly. There is currently no known counter attack for this, but the attack can be dodged with great skill.

    Technique Guide Empty Dark Matter Prison - Aryus

    Aryus:
    Move 1: Dark Matter Prison
    Description: Aryus creates six orbs made out of dark matter that encircle the target. The victim must then be positioned in the middle of the hexagonal prism. After that has been accomplished, black lightning surges and connects with each orb, forming a cage of Demonic energy. Aryus then fires several beams of Demonic energy, which after hitting the target, splits up and rebounds off each and every orb, continuously hitting the target over and over until Aryus stops the move. It has only been used once, against Cas.
    Conditions: Requires a large amount of mana

    Technique Guide Empty Mana Manipulation - Raz

    While it is unknown if he is blind or not. Raz has uncanny abilities to know things that blind people shouldn't be able to know. Among his special abilities is the one known as Mana Manipulation.

    While it's name is Mana Manipulation, he does not control it. Requirements for this ability, are already used mana. For example. If an electric attack is used near him, he can pull in it's power and reform the used mana to a near mana like state. In which he can boost himself or attack back. He often uses it to attack back, with the same type of element that was used against him.

    He can even pulled used magic out of objects a few meters away from himself. There are two time limits to this ability.

    The first is the time of which the first magic was cast. Raz can only absorb mana that had been used within 15 minutes. If the magic was cast any longer time ago, he cannot use this ability. Though there are exceptions. If the magic used was incredibly strong, then he can find the remnants and still grab them.

    The second limit is the holding limit. Raz can only hold the energy for so long, as his body cannot take the strain. The time varies by the level of magic used. Low level magics, he can sustain in his body for up to a month. As for highly advanced magic, only a few minutes or moments.

    Technique Guide Empty Spectrum Tsunami - Max

    During the periods were his power level is above 25.69%, and his body in engulfed by holy light. Max can use this move. Concentrating all this power into his hands then creating a feedback loop, the energy emitted is enormous. Billions of spikes and needles of every colour imaginable surge out of Max and cover a rather large area.

    Beings who get directly impaled on one, and get it stuck in them, have their bodies liquefied almost immediately. Well those that pass straight through, no after effects happen, but the spike can still fly.

    Their are two known methods to destroying the needles. The first is a complete stop. If a spike stops completely without a chance of continuing on. It's energy will disperse. This energy can liquefy flesh, metal, and wood. While Nothing happens to earth, rocks, and dirt.

    The second method is a time limit. After 10 minutes, all of them will automatically disperse. At this time, one must find cover, for the energy release is enormous. But it disappears after a split second.

    Max has only used this move twice. A battle long ago, and then the battle of the Bridge of Kurast.

    Technique Guide Empty Heaven's Strike - Ying

    An extremely powerful lightning/electric spell that can affect a large area or a single target.

    To initiate the spell, Ying must use a very long, specialized scroll that she had written a mantra upon, and because of this she is limited to using this spell often. She unravels the scroll then uses her mana to activate the scroll as it floats around her. The mantra begins to glow and summons a storm above.

    Once enough energy is gathered, Ying can concentrate the attack to certain point(s). The attack can either destroy the target completely, or immobilize them temporarily should they be able to survive.

    She used this attack once against Raz.

    Known Berserkers: Alex Lotell,

    Berserker, one of some rare types of warriors. While awake/conscious they are like any other person. But during some occasions where they are near death, or unconscious, several things happen.

    The first is extremely heightened reflexes and senses. Bordering on the impossible, they can almost sense anything.

    Second is an increase in abilities and power. They will not hold back, and use ever ounce of energy they have.

    Third, loss of feeling and ability to comprehend anything. Pain does not phase them, and they won't responded to being talked to. They're eyes go blank and stayed half closed.

    They have all the abilities that the person knew, and a few that when the person is awake, they can never use or learn.

    If they sense any threat or sudden movement towards them, they will attack even allies. But if there are two or more threats, they will go after the stronger one.

    How to Approach a Berserker:

    Step 1: Unless you have to, DON'T go near one.

    Step 2: Remain calm, and relieve yourself of all anger and hatred.

    Step 3: Talk to them softly as you Approach.

    Step 4: Make physical contact lightly, then slowly increase your hold. Most of the night this will wake them up.

    Step 5: If the above doesn't work, continue trying.

    Note: If still doesn't work, get someone they love to try. The chance of working increases by 75%.

    Technique Guide Empty Mind Twine

    Known Users: Dante Frehart,

    A method which requires Dante and his target to remain connected physically. Best done with a knocked out opponent, or a bound one.

    This Technique known as Mind Twine, for lack of a better name, let's Dante go within the mind of his target. Allowing him, to find the true person within a mind consumed by something that's not suppose to be there. During this period he has full reach to the memories and thoughts of the person.

    But there is a negative to this move. Dante is susceptible to be consumed by the same darkness that consumes his opponent. And his body is also vulnerable to be hurt, as he cannot move it while in another's mind.

    Tier 3 Lancer Cannon
    Alex Lotell

    Alex's lancer cannon is a function of his gunblade. It uses a condensed form of Alex's mana, and fires as a beam of energy.

    During the fight in Talrotha, Alex used the lancer cannon, but it was different. This Lancer Cannon is more powerful. Being 18 times stronger then normal. It's Alex most powerful known attack.

    While he was in Berserk mode, he was able to do this move in rapid succession. Successfully destroying Behemoth's armor.

    While the amount of mana varies upon Alex. It does not need as much mana as he used. The lancer cannon, when used correctly, can fire even at the smallest amount.

    Technique Guide Empty Blue Heat and Blue Heat Cannon

    Blue Heat and Blue Heat Cannon
    Alex Lotell - Berserker mode only

    Alex Lotell's berserker mode has one main skill that Alex can't use. This is the technique known as Blue Heat. Pouring mana into his gunblade, it turns a blue colour, and gives off a massive amount of heat. This heat can equal that of lava when used properly. But no damage will come to the blade or Alex, due to it being his mana. Blue Heat can cut almost anything with almost no effort.

    But what is more dangerous is Alex's Blue Heat Cannon. Combining Blue Heat and strengthened Lancer Cannon, this blue attack melts everything it touches. Metal will melt, wood would instantly explode and etc. This attack is to be avoided at all costs. There is no known defense for this except a higher level technique. But such Techniques that can stop it, are rare.

    This technique can only been used when Uriel has an impaled his adversary with a weapon (Longinus isn't necessary, but it is optimal in his case). After impaling the enemy, the move can then be used in two different ways. The incantation he says afterwards changes the effect:

    Innocence: Used when Uriel is trying to conserve his mana, or he doesn't want to kill the enemy. He drains his enemies life force or mana, and fires it in a concentrated blast.

    Execution: Used when fighting adversaries that are stronger than he is, Uriel pours his own mana into his opponent through their wound, and allows it to spread through their system. After enough mana has been poured into them, he detonates his mana while it is still within his enemy's body. He used this move once, against the Behemoth to critically damage its leg.

    When Anthro calls upon the hidden power of his blood, he's able to use Retribution.

    During this move, he leaves several after images. This suggests he's moving incredible fast. His weapon glows dark red, and increase in power.

    His opponents should be aware that this is not Anthro's true compatibilities.

    Yuki - Demon Seed active

    During the more potent times when Yuki's demon seed is awakened, her mana goes out of control. This causes an area around her to freeze very quickly. Anyone caught in this area would suffer frost bite within a minute.

    When Yuki attacks with her katana, it causes an explosion of ice and freezes almost anything immediately with a solid chuck of ice.

    Other side effects are from when Yuki is cut. Upon being injured, a spike of extremely hard ice shoots from the wound and jets out about a foot. These spikes stay connected to her body. The base of them is red with blood. These extremely hard ice spikes stop her bleeding, as well as offer protect against most physical forms of attacks.

    While in training Rikka learned many things from the training scrolls left to her by Kalne. In one such scroll was the Yellow Thread Technique.

    The purpose of this ability a completely a defensive one. It's meant to bind the abilities of a person, and bring them back to a controllable level.

    This technique works best with half breeds that have more then one type of blood in their body. Since the the blood of two races doesn't always work perfectly, this technique was created to force a peace into the subject person. Allowing them to live without the threat of their own body turning again them.

    When first used, this technique was used on infant half breeds, with yellow twine. Thus it's name was derived from that some time after.

    In the case of Rikka, she has adjusted the technique to affect beings that are equal to her strength or weaker. She uses her Shurikan's chain as the thread, and wraps the subject. Allowing her to complete that ability. But with the new form, there are some side affects. The main of which, is that the chain tends to burn the subject when it's in use. Well it's not life threatening it is a painful process for the subject, as well as for Rikka. Rikka's hands often become burned as she has to keep in contact with the chain for the ability to finish.

    Luminous Blades
    Rikka

    Rikka learned many things while training. One of these techniques is known as Luminous Blades.

    Using this technique, one focuses their mana into a weapon they hold. Then the focused mana extends and forms a blade over the object. This blade, while not deadly on contact, over a extended duration of contact, extreme damage occurs. Multiple hits on the same target area will also produce the same results.

    If focused enough, the luminous blades can cut through steel with a single stroke. it is a technique said to require ten years to master. Unfortunately Rikka only has two years of practice. Thus her mana blades require ten hits in the same spot, or 2 seconds of constant contact for the same effect.
